`Resilient dust of the textile industry´, Hand embroidery on textile paper solely made of industrial textile dust, 900 x 23 cm, 2025 (Ongoing project)

Embroidery text with silver and golden thread:
I am dust from the textile industry.
I am found in the air, all the time inside the industry.
I am witness to the industrial labor life.
A life inside high ceilings and walls with no windows.
Gigantic machines making repetitive sounds,
followed by repetitive body movements of the production workers.
I am an unwanted residue from the industrial textiles,
Very much like the voices of production workers.
One of the main elements in this project is the `textile dust´ that I gathered from the textile industry during the time I used to work, as a non-EU immigrant. I am particularly interested in exploring "dust" as a powerful material in various forms. We spend so much energy in getting rid of it, however dust continues to appear and accumulate in unexpected ways. While often considered as an unwanted residue, it persists and even seems to grow over time, resembling a living entity with a significant presence.
The project aims to challenge the idea of hyper-consumerism and the relentless pace of industrial production sector.
