'A fragment from the pond´, Cyanotype on cotton fabric, Installation view from Gallery Norske Grafikere, Oslo, Height 250 cm, (LxB) 100 x 100 cm, 2023

The installation is created using cyanotype prints on approximately 12 square meters of cotton fabric. Cyanotype, also known as blueprints, is an alternative photography technique that employs photosensitive solutions that is exposed to UV light to achieve photographic results. This process was initially developed in the camera-less era to create impressions of botanical and textile specimens.

In my project, I have used various types of negatives and experimented with the process while creating these large cyanotype fabrics. The installation takes a vertical cubic shape, allowing for individual exploration from the inside and collective viewing from the outside. The installation takes its inspiration from a concept of an aquarium and further delves into themes of transition, relocation, and hybridity.
