

Geetanjali prasad
Geetanjali Prasad (b. India 1994) is a visual artist based in Oslo with her studio at Kunstskansen Blaker, Lillestrøm Norway. She has academic background in printmaking and drawing from the Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan India (BFA and MFA) followed by the Medium and Material Based Art programme at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (MFA). She employs a material-driven approach with a combination of printmaking and multimedia installations.
Geetanjali’s ongoing practice investigates the layered realities of material, labor, and waste within the context of the global textile production industry. Through a research-driven process, she engages with themes of invisibilized labor, feminized work, and the labor of care, situating her practice at the intersection of social reflection and transformation.
She has exhibited in several art institutions and initiatives among which are Nitja center for contemporary arts (Lillestrøm, Norway), Galleri OED (Cochin, India), Galleri Blaker Skansen (Lillestrøm, Norway), Norske Grafikere (Oslo, Norway), Kunstnerforbundet (Oslo, Norway), Gallery Nye Bokboden (Bergen, Norway), Jyväskylä Art Museum (Jyväskylä, Finland) and Grafiska Sällskapet (Stockholm, Sweden).
