I along with a group of friends, tried to create an experiential space which engaged the viewer completely from the very first
step they made into the installation which followed a circular route entering the core / inner
circle where a huge Banyan tree appears to be the central of the whole circle. I placed an audio
voice in the very center which worked as a timeline and guided the viewer towards center. One
had to enter the installation barefoot, sensing- sand, dry leaves, stones and water consecutively
sensing under their foot as they walked inside, where I had created an interactive space under
the tree, one could sit, write, read or play music. In addition, around fifty pieces of gum
bichromate prints(10 x 15 cm each) were hanged inside. Through the whole experimentation, I
intended to offer a space/ set up where one was pushed to practice mindfulness, getting back to
a slower life, and overall rediscovering nature.
